Wuthering Heights Wednesday is all about the Wuthering Heights Read-along hosted by Jill at Fizzy Thoughts with each week we will read three chapters from the classic novel and then post our thoughts on, you guessed it –Wednesday!
Volume 2 Chapters 8-10
Synopsis:
Edgar falls ill soon followed by Nelly. While Cathrine is very sad about this not brokenhearted enough to stop her gallivanting around the moors. She conveniently bumps into her Ol’ buddy Heath, who tells her that Linton is shattered by the sudden break in correspondence. Cathy eats this up hook, line and sinker with Heathcliff convincing her to visit the Heights and set things right with Linton, and the relationship picks up again. Nelly finally gets wind of the situation and tattles to dear daddy who forbids anymore visits to Wuthering Heights, putting us back to where we started at the beginning of these chapters.
My Thoughts:
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as Cathy Jr. is a conniving little bitch too. I would also like to call pest control and exterminate the moors.
haha Apple certainly doesn't fall far at all- in fact, I think it is the same apple. 😉
LOL
I love your thoughts 🙂
LOL… Cathy is becoming more like her mother with every chapter!
I have an award for you. You can pick it up here.
I didn't read your synopsis because I want to read this for myself, BUT LOL at your thoughts!
Sounds like the apple is a little rotten to the core?
Kathrine– Cathy is turning out to be a very bad seed indeed.
Juju– Thank you!
JoAnn– like mother like daughter
Letter4no1– Thank you!
Kim– Very rotten! I hope you enjoy Wuthering Heights.
Haha! I loved your thoughts. I found it very frustrating to read about Cathy jr. than anyone else in the book. Talk about daft!
I know, it's so frustrating! I think part of Cathy Jr.'s problem is that she's gullible.
