I masked up and saw the new Ryan Reynold’s movie Free Guy. It reminded me of The Truman Show, that is if The Truman Show was a video game. I was also cat-sitting this week; so of course I spent my free time curled up with a book, a cat, and a cup of tea. No complaints there!

Books and cats a re a good combination!
The Lost Apothecary and the new Lapena look great.
They really are a good combination. I was a little disappointed by The Lost Apothecary, the idea is very interesting but it just didn’t live up to its potential. I’m really looking forward to reading Not A Happy Family. I usually save thrillers for September and October so I might hold off on it for a few weeks.
Sounds like you had a lovely week! I really wanna see Free Guy.
Free Guy was a fun movie and a nice change from the typical comic book films out now. I hope you have a lovely week too!
Great week of reading, I hve read Last Apothecary, but have Mrs March on my wishlist
Here is my haul:

I’m reading Mrs. March for my book club and I’m really looking forward to diving in. I hope you have a wonderful week!
I’ve been interested in reading The Lost Apothecary, did you like it? 📚
The Lost Apothecary was a bust for me — a few too many disappointing storylines. I had been looking forward to reading the book so it was a bummer.
I need to cat sit for somebody. But, I have three dogs in the house, so a cat wouldn’t like it much here. Great haul. Mrs March sure sounds interesting.
I’ve pet-sat for my brother’s dog plus my cats before and they tolerate each other… Mrs. March does sound interesting, it is for my book club and I look forward to starting it.
I really enjoyed Not a Happy Family…if you don’t mind characters who are all pretty unlikable.
I am curious about Mrs. March.
Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
I’m all for characters you love to hate. The premise of Not a Happy Family reminded me The Royal Tenenbaums which pique my interest.
Oh I have heard GREAT things about Free Guy. I love Ryan Reynolds. Have a great week!
It is pretty much guaranteed that I will see a movie if it has Ryan Reynolds in it. I hope you’ve had a great week!
Some interesting covers in this batch! Hope you enjoy them all!
Yes, the covers are quite colorful. I especially love the gloves on Mrs. March.
Books, cats and tea sounds like a win to me! 🙂
Hope this coming week is another good one.
Books, cats, and tea are always a win in my book. I hope you had a great week.
I want to try to read Mrs March before the film comes out. Enjoy.
I didn’t know it was being made into a film. I’ll have to check that out.
Nice looking assortment of books. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
Thank you, Kathy. I’m looking forward to reading them.
