Weekly Wrap-up is where I share happenings on the blog, books I have read or aquired recently. I link to Caffeinated Book Reviewer, Tynga’s Reviews and The Book Date
Off The Blog
This week was low-key. I’ve rediscovered audiobooks and love the ability to multi-task. I’ve been listening to The Vatican Princess and Circling the Sun. Both are great historical fiction novels with Julia Whelan, who narrates The Vatican Princess becoming a fast favorite. I’m also gearing up for Bout of Books and the solar eclipse next week — I have to get my book list and sunglasses in order.

From the Library
I’ve never done audiobooks, but I can see how they would be good for multi-tasking.
Enjoy your new books…I enjoyed Everything I Never Told You, and I want to read her new book, too.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I had never done audiobooks until the end of last year. I had always poo-pooed them but I’ve really come around and the books I read go up in number.
I’ve found a love for audiobooks as well. You can read and do the dishes! I just finished The Wonder and loved it I hope you do too 🙂
Audiobooks certainly make doing the dishes more bearable! I loved Room and hope to get to The Wonder soon — Emma Donoghue is a great writer.
I need to get my eclipse glasses too, I keep forgetting. Goodnight from London looks like a good read.
Eclipse glasses seem pretty hard to come by. I got mine a few weeks ago for a dollar at Wal-Mart and now they’re selling for 5. It is crazy! I read Moonlight Over Paris last year and really enjoyed it, I’m looking forward to reading Jennifer Robson’s newest novel.
I hope you enjoy the book you got. I don’t really plan to be out during the eclipse, we have 4 dogs, and plan to stay inside. We are in the direct path, so our kids are being sent home early that day too. I hope enjoy it though. 🙂
Thanks for popping by earlier,
Jenea’s Book Obsession
Thanks, I can completely understand not going out if you have kids or pets. It also happened when my mom was younger and besides being sent home early her mother reinforced not looking out the window too.
We are not in the direct path of the eclipse, and there are a lot of parents upset that our district is not allowing students out to view the eclipse. Can you imagine the lawsuit if a little kindergartner took off their eyewear? There will be live streaming and it is safe for everyone. I hope you have a great reading week!
Yes, audiobooks are great when life is busy and I just love the fact I can get things done and listen. Hope the week ahead is a good one for you.
