The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is a romance/Downton Abbey reunion as it stars Lily James, Jessica Brown Findlay, and Penelope Wilton. Netflix recently picked up the rights to the film adaptation but have to announce a release date.
I’m currently listening to the book, in preparation for the film. I’m not very far into the novel so it is too soon to tell my opinions on it. However, it seems like a very sweet story and it looks like the letter format of the book is translating nicely onto the screen.

I keep forgetting that they’ve adapted this book! I’m always skeptical of adaptations, but this one sees like it might actually be nicely done and be good to the book–let’s hope. Thanks for sharing this trailer, I would have completely missed it probably. 🙂
