Today’s theme from That Artsy Reader Girl‘s Top Ten Tuesday is: Bookish Goals for 2025
I posted my reading and blogging goals for 2025 earlier this month, but here is a breakdown, plus two I’ve already broken.
Reading Goals:
- I’m turning 40 this year and hope to read 40 books
- Don’t stress about books I think I should be reading and read what I want
- I am woefully behind on my Fantastic Strangelings book subscription, so I would like to prioritize reading each month’s selection and potentially catching up on past picks.
Blogging Goals:
- Post regularly with the goal being to review 1-2 books a week
- Don’t stress if you don’t post weekly
- comment back on my own posts as well as on other book blogs
Goals I’ve Broken
- In my original blogging goals post, I wrote that I wanted to start a feature where I compare books to their adapted counterparts. However, when I sat down to write said feature I realized I didn’t enjoy writing movie reviews. I’ll just stick to reviewing books
- The second is a weekly tbr meme. I’ve participated in Books From the Backlog twice this year and, while I love the idea of showcasing books from my tbr I’m more of a mood reader. If the mood didn’t strike me to read the book I featured that week I created self-imposed guilt and pressure which isn’t the point of reading.
Technically that is only eight goals, but the year is still young and I may add or remove them as 2025 progresses. Do you have any goals for the year ahead?
