Top Eight Series I Want to Read

Posted March 5, 2013 by Whitney in Top Ten Tuesday / 9 Comments

I don’t normally read series but when I do it is usually young adult.
I’d also like to note that most of these series are technically trilogies or just include a sequel.)
  1. Prophecy of Oz by Megan Shan  (release date August 2013 planned trilogy)  I pretty much love anything to do with Oz, so starting this series seems like a no-brainer.
  2. Just One Day by Gayle Forman: I recently read a review in Bookmarks Magazine and decided I must start this series.
  3. If I Stay by Gayle Forman This is similar to my reasoning above, except that the good reviews are from bloggers.
  4. The Mockingbirds by Daisy Whitney  I love To Kill a Mockingbird so think this could be very interesting, plus I love her name.
  5. Unbound by Eve Marie Mont — It’s retellings of classic literature, one of my favorite genres.  But because of that, I’m afraid it could be sink or swim.
  6. The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepard — Due to amazing reviews on blogs I follow.
  7. Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer (I’ve technically already read Cinder and Scarlet by I’m looking forward to the other two in the series).
  8. Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. The first in this series has recently been made into a movie, and I’m a sucker for reading books made into movies.

  1. If I Stay/Where She Went by Gayle Forman are two of my favourite books EVER. I can't even…they are both so heart wrenchingly brilliant, and I hope you read them soon! I also LOVED The Madman's Daughter – I'm definitely not one who would normally read gothic horror, but it is so, so good. Great picks!

  2. I hadn't read Beautiful Creatures until a few weeks ago! I got the audiobook and really enjoyed it. Also, I highly recommend the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder was fun!

  3. i LOVE oz books! I haven't heard about this yet, but now it's on my radar!

i just finished a steampunk version of Oz book–it's by SD Stewart if you want to check it out. It's supposed to be a series, but 'm not sure how long it'll be.
