Miz B at Should Be Reading hosts a weekly meme entitled Teaser Tuesday
- Grab your current read.
- Let the book fall open to a random page.
- Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
- You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
- Please avoid spoilers!
“Rhett watched Wade’s face with meditative eyes, saw the boy flinch. Come here, son, he said, drawing the boy close to him. Would you like to be at that party?”
~ Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell page 899
“I can get it. Miss Linton, take you seat by him. I give you what I have: the present is hardly worth excepting, but I have nothing else to offer.”
~ Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte page 325
Awww Rhett!
Love the teaser 🙂
Two of my absolute favorites!! I love that part in GWTW when Rhett realizes how his behavior affects their children. *sigh*
I'm glad I found your blog! Here's my teaser for My Name is Memory.
Sound like something I like to read.
Here's mine
Yes, Rhett is swoon worthy! He starts to become a real person in this quote/section.
Fantastic line!
Here is my Teaser Tuesday 🙂
I hang my head in shame and confess that I've never read these classics. They are on my TBR list, though 🙂 Great teasers!
Here's my teaser for this week.
Lovely teasers. Mine is from Romancing Miss Bronte at The Crowded Leaf.
great lines! btw your list of 2010 reads is brilliant!
Juju– I think both lines are great, but I prefer the Wuthering Heights one, I think it leaves more of an impact.
Tweezle– raise that head, Gone with the Wind is a massive undertaking, much bigger than Scarlett's 17" waist.
Alayne– Love the Bronte sisters, that sounds like a great book.
Priya Parmar– Thank you!
I would really like to read Wuthering Heights one day 🙂
Here is my teaser for today.

Hmmm … Why did he wince? I contemplated reading GWTW this year, but chose some other hefty classics, but I will read it next year!!
I remember the first one perfectly, Rhett is actually a complete nice guy with the kids but I forget where this passage comes in WH…the first one is an awesome teaser though! 🙂
Wonderful teaser. Both classics I would love to read again one day.
