Miz B at Should Be Reading hosts a weekly meme entitled Teaser Tuesday
  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

“Melanie looked and her eyes dilated.  Jumbled together was a mass of bills, United States greenbacks, mingling  with Confederate money and, glinting from between them, were one ten-dollar gold piece and two five-dollar gold pieces.”

~ Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell page 44

“Nay, it’s enough that he  has murdered one of you, I observed aloud.  At the Grange, everyone knows your sister would be living now if it had not been for Mr. Heathcliff.”

~ Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte page 117

  1. I went to re read this a few years ago and could not remember why I used to like it so much. I hope you are enjoying it. My TT is from The Seventh Witch and can be found here

  2. Awesome teasers 🙂 I remember where both these come in their respective books 🙂 Your mentions of WH has made me want to review some Bronte book 🙂 I have awards for you over at my blog! 🙂

  3. I'm loving my classics. Although, I must admit I have a love/hate relationship with both Cathy and Scarlett. Thanks to everyone who has visited my blog today!

  4. I love Gone With the Wind. I've read Wuthering Heights before, but I must say I really don't remember much about it other than finding Cathy to be shallow. Of course, Scarlett is shallow in her own ways, but I have a hard time hating her.

  5. I adore Wuthering Heights, but have a strongly dislike Cathy and Heathcliff. I think they're both characters you love to hate.
