Our signature breakfast tea is a tippy Dian Hong growing between 1,600 - 1,800 meters in elevation at the densely forested Wa Shan Ecological Tea Garden in Yunnan. Breakfast is beloved for its mellow character and hints of sweet caramel and raisin. Milder than English Breakfast, this tea presents a deep red infusion that is smooth enough to enjoy on its own or exquisite with milk and honey.
Review:
I think Rishi’s China Breakfast is a pretty bland tea and have a hard time distinguishing any of the tasting notes listed. I was expecting a rich, black tea. Unfortunately, it reminded me of Lipton. I tried brewing it as an iced tea as temperature can some times change the overall enjoyment. Sadly, it still tasted generic. Fortunately, I had only bought a small sample from my local co-op’s bulk section so I didn’t have that much invested. Overall, this wasn’t a bad tea, Rishi’s Breakfast just didn’t shine for me.
