Off The Blog

It has been a long time since I’ve participated in a Sunday Post, life has gotten in the way, with a vacation to Florida, weekend visits from the bf and just life in general. However, I hope to make this a weekly main staple again as it does help me organize the blogging week to come.

On Friday, the Wisconsin Film Festival began. It is a week-long fest of films that you won’t find in a mainstream theater. I’ve bought tickets to three and I’m also volunteering at one of the theaters this week as well.

    • Thanks, the films I saw were great! Although, I never realized how serious people were about film festivals — some people I’ve talked to have seen 19 which makes my 3 look poultry.

  1. I love film festivals, they have one here in Michigan too at the Traverse City Film Festival every summer. So fun. And welcome back to the SP! Hope you have a great week.

    • Thank you for the welcome back! I love the anticipation of watching films at the fest, and it is wonderful to see local films/directors featued too.

  2. Hi.. I can see that you’re a fan of Jane Austen’s. I’ve been wanting to read her books but never have had the chance to do it. I hope you’re having a great time at The Film Festival. Enjoy your books and have a great week. 😀

    • Jane Austen is a wonderful storyteller. Pride & Prejudice is by far my favorite and in my opinion the best introduction to her. Although, there are tons of adaptions to her novels if you’re hesitant about jumping in. Thanks for commenting.

  3. I loved The Girl on the Train movie…and also Me Before You. In both cases, I was happy that I had read the books first…but the movies were great.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

    • Both movies were entertaining. I haven’t read Me Before You yet but I’m glad I read The Girl on the Train before seeing the movie as I think I might have been a little confused at first, and in this case I actually enjoyed the film more.
