Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer is a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
Off The Blog
The week started off good, I had lunch with a friend I hadn’t seen in almost a year and spent a few days visiting the bf. I felt confident. Then Tuesday hit. Since then, I’ve been a bit sluggish and have gotten into a reading/blogging slump. Hopefully, along with the numbness, this will pass in time, but for now I will have to plug along.

I really understand how you feel. It takes a lot to get through this, but the good thing is that you have a wonderful book community to cheer you on! 🙂 Hope you have a better week. ~Aleen
Thanks Aleen! Yes, the book blogging community is awesome and a wonderful support team. I must remember we are all going through the same thing.
Those slumps seem to stirke without warning. Hopefully you’ll get your mojo back soon:) Sounds like a wonderful time with your friend. I miss those stolen moments:) My friend and I are going to start riding bikes together, as soon as I find one I like. LOL
It was very nice to spend sometime with her and was very spur-of-the-moment. It is always difficult to keep up long distance relationships (particularly ones from high school) but they are so worth it!
I am still recovering from Tuesday, too, and the worst thing about it is not finding much support in my real life…
Reading and blogging seem to be where I’m finding it, and I’m so glad for the respite they both offer, and for this community.
I do have one former colleague/friend who will be on the same page as I am…time for coffee or lunch, I think.
Visits with friends are a good thing.
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
The book blogging community is a great comfort. I think immersing oneself in creativity can speak volumes and reading is such a great escapism particularly in the darkest of times. Thank you for visiting!
Ugh! I hate reading slumps! I always get them right after I’ve read several GREAT books in a row. Eeek! That means I have one in my near future. ;-(
I hope not! It does always seem to happen when you’re on a roll though — very unfortunate.
I know how slumps can be. For the better part of 2 years I neglected the blog. You’ll get back into it if as Dory says “You just keep swimming!”. Thanks for stopping by my blog 🙂 Have a great week.
Dory is so wise! Thank you for the comment.
Yup, I can totally understand how you’re feeling. Lots of HP stuff ♥
Thanks, I know I’m not alone in this. Yes, it is a a Harry Potter week here — I’m super excited about the new movie!
I totally understand how you’ve been feeling. I feel like Tuesday set off everyone into a slump and a funk emotionally. I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things this week.
I hope you have an amazing week and your spirits lift.
Thanks Tina, I appreciate your thoughts.
Nothing like visiting the BF to feel better 🙂 And yay for spending time with your friend! I hope this coming week is better for all of us <3
Yes, it was very nice to see him and my friend, it had been too long for both of them.
I have also definitely been in a slump since Tuesday too. I hope next week is better for you!
Thanks Tracy, I’ve gotten several pep talks with a reread of Harry Potter for therapy.
It’s been a tough one for sure! But as others have said, the blogging community is here and thankfully everyone here seems really supportive. I hope for the best… and part of me hopes he is an unpleasant surprise to his supporters. After all he wasn’t always a Republican, and i would laugh if he did things they are not expecting. He is unpredictable… but then again it’s a faint hope, after all he disqualified himself with his actions in my opinion.
That was perfectly said Greg and I couldn’t agree more. I’m keeping my fingers crossed but in the meantime the book blogging community has been wonderful!
