Sunday PostSunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer is a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are currently, and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme is hosted by Kathryn at the Book Date

Off the Blog

This week I painted furniture, my bedside table and desk chair to be exact. I used Debi’s Design Diary chalk paint and went from dark wood to a bright blue. Between washing, two coats of paint and a finishing wax it took about a week. I think it came out pretty well but for some reason the paint did not adhere to the drawer pulls. Rather than meticulously repaint a 85 year-old nob I decided to get new knobs all together and am currently on the hunt. When my “hunt is complete I’ll post a picture of my finished work. Although, I can’t boast too much as it was relatively easy,  I have come a long way from finger painting!

  1. I’m really curious to see what you think of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. I wasn’t overly enamored with it, but so many people love it! Clawback sounds quite interesting, as does The Cuckoo’s Calling, which I have yet to read! Enjoy!

  2. Just took a little jump over to your review of The Velvet Hours and I see your impressions were positive. I’ve seen it around a little and good to know it was a worthwhile read so I will keep it in mind.

  3. Yay for the furniture painting! Sounds like it will be fantastic. I’ve read the Miss Peregrine’s but had mixed feelings and haven’t yet managed to continue the series. The Robert Gaibraith is on my TBR and I really need to find the time to get to it!

Thanks for stopping by my blog 🙂
