Sunday Post

Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer is a chance to share news~ A weekly wrap-up for the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are currently, and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and add to that ever-growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme is hosted by Kathryn at the Book Date

This week, I have been reading the Little House books.  It has been fun to revisit a childhood favorite and have visited Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Wikipedia page several times — particularly during These Happy Golden Years.  I also made a trip to Barnes and Noble and spent the last of my Christmas gift card.  Call it Christmas in July!

  1. Oh I’d love to reread the Little House books! They were my favorite when I was a kid. I think my absolute favorite was when Alonzo would go pick Laura up where she was teaching (A Long Winter maybe?). Such a sweet story. Have a great week!

    • I love the Little House books too! Almanzo picks Laura up from school in These Happy Golden Years. I agree, it is a very sweet story.

Awesome haul. Your books look really cute. I hope you love all your new books.

I remember reading some of the Little House books as a kid, and watching the show too. I don’t remember which ones I read though… but those covers bring back memories.

    • I was a big fan of the show as well, and have seen some episodes multiple times. I agree about the book covers too, they have really taken me back.

I can’t wait to get to the later half of the Little House Books! Penelope and I are on The Banks of Plum Creek right now. I love your self hosted blog . . . I always have wanted to do that, but don’t feel I am tech savvy enough for it. Also I have an almost ten year back log on my blogspot blog. Is there any way to bring it to a new blog?

    • Sorry I’m getting back to you so late! I’m not tech savvy either and thought it was super easy to transfer 6 years of blog posts via export/import and there is also a plugin to redirect links. I hope you take the leap — it is totally worth it!
