Old Classics Are New Again

Penguin Books with the help of designer Coralie Bickford-Smith are sprucing up literature’s great works, “ditching their stuffy dust jackets for smartly embossed canvas covers. Perfect for replacing well-thumbed favorites or creating a bookshelf piece de resistance”. I love me a good classic, and these covers are so beautiful they are something to stand back and admire.{quotations are taken from Anthropologie}
Here are the ten classics in the collection:
  1. Madam Bovary by Gustava Faluber
  2. Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
  3. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
  4. Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
  5. Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell
  6. Tess of the d’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy
  7. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
  8. Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
  9. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
  10. The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

  1. Aren't those nice? I'd like to read Dorian Gray and reread Great Expectations so maybe I'll treat myself next time I'm in Waterstones.
