Inspired by Jillian’s Classic Club Michelle of The True Book Addict has put together a spin-off for non-fiction novels, A Non-Fiction Adventure.
Here are the guidelines:
-choose 50+ non-fiction books; the number is up to you. Choose 50, 75, 100, 200. It’s entirely your choice
-Books must be non-fiction–biography, autobiography, history, memoir, cooking, travel, science, etc.
-list them at your blog (or on Goodreads or another social media site, if you do not have a blog)
-choose your completion goal date five years in the future and make note of it with your list of titles (like this: reading goal–50 books goal dates–March 20, 2012 – March 20, 2017)
-go back to dedicated blog and post the link to your list in the linky list
-write a review (or a short summary) on the book when finished and link it to the title in your list (or link to your review on Goodreads, again, if you don’t have a blog)

I added a whole non-fiction section to my Classics Club list (mostly author biographies, info on Victorian England, etc.). I'm really tempted to tag along for this adventure, but I'm worried I'll be stretching myself too thin.
You've got a great list here! I'm intrigued by the Maria von Trapp memoir. 🙂
Great list, Whitney! I'm so glad that the challenge has inspired you and that you're joining me on this adventure!
Can you believe that I still haven't compiled my list? I've been so busy lately! But my official start date wasn't going to be until April 1 anyway so I have a few days. Hoping to work on it tonight. =O)
What a great idea. May I suggest a great non-fiction travel/adventure book… "Drifting on a Headwind" by Jim Harlan… it is a fabulous book that chronicles the author's travels around the world (in some of the most remote corners of the earth), over the past 30 years. Amazing book.
