Miss Darcy Decides is a light, sweet Pride and Prejudice novella, book two in the Love at Pemberley series.

While visiting a young woman—who was not so fortunate as Miss Georgiana Darcy in escaping the persuasions of a rogue—Georgiana meets Sir Camden Sutton, whose reputation causes Georgiana to wonder as to his motives. Her wondering soon turns to a different feeling when Sir Camden comes to stay at Pemberley, showing himself to be a very different man than was rumored. While Sir Camden struggles with his past and his commitment to his future, as well as the ill intentions of haughty Caroline Bingley, Miss Darcy must decide whether to listen to others, or the words written on her heart.

Speed Date With Darcy:

First Date:

Sir Camden is a combination of Wickham and Darcy.  He has the apparent bad boy persona  but the mysteriousness of Darcy. We are shown a snippet of his good nature which actually reminded me of Colonel Brandon.  So far, I have a bag of Austenesque characters.

Second Date:

Characters are more developed and learn more about the new (and old) friends I have met along the way.  Camden is seductive but has the leering old brother leaning over his shoulder and still makes you question his conduct.

Third Date:

Happy, the date(s) end happily.  I was satisfied with the conclusion, and opened up new opportunities for everyone.  Overall, these dates were a stunning success.

Will There Be A Fourth?

Yes.

I think the best way to sum up/describe Miss Darcy Decides is the scene in which Sir Camden “turns the page”  for Georgiana after losing her spot while playing the piano.  An almost identical occasion occurs in Pride and Prejudice only with Elizabeth Bennet.  I bring up this comparison because in both instances, it spotlights the beginning of a great affection towards one another, and held the same feelings for me as well.  Miss Darcy Decides is a fun novella for romance and Pride and Prejudice fans alike.
