I made my trip to the library in anticipation of the Library Books Read-a-thon (and have two more on hold) for optimistic thinking.
Here is what I checked out:
- The Obituary Writer by Ann Hood
- Are You One of Them by Elliot Holt
- The Shining Girls by Lauren Beukes
- Going Clear by Lawrence Wright
- Divergent by Veronica Roth
- Insurgent by Veronica Roth
- A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard
Goals:
- I’m almost finished with The Obituary Writer so number one is to finish that.
- I would love to read a least two of the books on my list (excluding The Obit Writer)
- Make time to walk to library and return read books (I hate having late fees)
- Set aside time to write any reviews of books I may finish as I prefer doing that when my thoughts are still fresh.
I’ll also be keeping track of my progress here:

Great list! Good luck reading and reviewing!
You have a great list there. I really want to read The Shining Girls. Good luck with the reading this week! Hoping I can get my goals accomplished too. =O)
I really need to read the Divergent series. My sister has been begging me to read that series. I don't know if I could do Jaycee Duggard's book. My mom read it and I read a couple pieces, but there are some things I really don't want to read about. Reading is my escape not my reality.
Great list. I don't think I could read Jaycee Duggard's book. It is just too much of a mother's worst nightmare. I have always said having a child missing and not knowing would be harder than having a child die because I would imagine these horrible things happening to them.
