Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon is upon us and I am ready to get started.

Reading List:
  • The Legend of Sleepy Hallow by Washington Irving
  • Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
  • Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders

  • The End of the Affair by Graham Green
  • Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh
  • The Wife by Meg Wolitzer
  • On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan
  • A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood
  • Winter’s Bone by Daniel Woodrell
  • Born a Crime by Trevor Noah
  • My Man Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse
  • The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Anne Barrows
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
  • The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
Opening Meme

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
Wisconsin

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh — narrated by Jeremy Irons

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
yogurt, home-made granola and + lots of peppermint mocha coffee!

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I’ve been 29 since 2014. I adopted two cats when I was 22 and they are like my children. I have read Harry Potter every year since I was eleven. When I was 2 my go-to outfit was my Snow White costume.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
Audiobooks are my best friends during readathons, I plan on utilizing that today. As for something I would do differently, I need to remind myself that going to sleep at 11 does not equal a failed 24 hour readathon — the point is to have fun!

  1. That is an ambitious reading list! Several on it that I have read and really liked (Guernsey in particular). Good luck!
