A Month of Favorites is hosted by Girlxoxo, Traveling with T and Estella’s Revenge
Like Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music I will be sharing “a few of my favorite things” over the next few weeks. Today I will not include Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens but rather an introduction, have Captian Von Trapp blow his whistle please.
Clearly I am a fan of The Sound of Music. I love a good song and dance number from The Full Monty to Maria running down a hill. My favorite author is Jane Austen, and this was the first time in many years that I did not read Pride and Prejudice. Although I did accomplish my yearly Harry Potter reread with J.K. Rowling being my most prolific author of the year.
In August I moved to small town in Wisconsin and if you blink you’ll miss it. We are out in the woods and I don’t drive. My books are packed and in storage (this is only temporary) and the library isn’t in walking distance thus I’ve been reading the bulk of my books this year on my Kindle.
Our hosts have also reccomended that I give a clue to what my favorite book was this year. I have several and my hint is that they are by an author who has a nationality in her last name.
