It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are currently, and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme is hosted by Kathryn at the Book Date.
Off The Blog
I had two exciting this happen this week. First was that I moved to a self-hosted site completely revamping my look all the way down to my name. I’m still getting use to the idea of “being on my own” if anything were to happen, but think I’ll get more comfortable with it in time. The second is that I turned 31 on Wednesday. It was no muss no fuss, going out to dinner with family. The joke of me turning 29 is still going strong (particularly since I don’t look it) but have come to accept my Jane Austen era of old age and must remember it is only a number.

Happy Birthday! And that’s great about your own independent site! The blog is looking good 🙂 Have a great week and happy reading!

Thank you on both counts Laura!
Happy birthday! It’s always surprising when I remember how old I am but you’re right about it being just a number! I love the new site and glad moving to self-hosted went well. Have a great week!
Thanks Katherine, you’re only as old as you feel right? Or at least that is what I have been telling myself.
Wahoo…welcome to the darkside where plugins are addictive but make blogging simplier. Happy Birthday!!
Thanks Kimba, plugins are like shiny gifts at Christmas, do you have any suggestions for ones I should get addicted to?
Sorry it took me a spell to get back to you. I adore Ashley’s plugins for simplifying review posts. They do everything even archive. My favorite is of course UBB Plugin, but I also have Reading Challenge, Add on for Goodreads (which automatically posts to Goodreads when you want). I use the rating plugin, the heat plugin and the Review Request plugin. To use all the add-ons you must have UBB. I would get that and then watch for her sales. https://shop.nosegraze.com/product/ultimate-book-blogger-plugin/?ref=11
Thanks for the recommendation Kim, I’ve been eyeing the UBB plugin, will certainly have to think about it.
Happy birthday! And congratulations on your move to self hosted- good for you. I love the new name- great choice. Hope it all goes well.
Thanks Greg, knock on wood but so far so good.
Happy Birthday! I was nervous when I moved to a self hosted sight. Now I can’t imagine it any other way.
My Sunday Post – http://fuonlyknew.com/2016/02/28/whats-new-on-my-bookshelf-149-and-the-sunday-post/
I understand why people say that now. Keeping security safe for my blog is a bit getting use to but I love the control that comes with self-hosted.
Congrats on your new self-hosted site…and your new name. Happy birthday, too! Lots of good things are happening for you.
I am too leery about going self-hosted. The closest I have come is having a .com site, which is my website.
Enjoy your week and your books…and thanks for visiting my blog.
Thank you for the birthday wishes! I was leery about going self-hosted too, but I think in the long run it is worth it.
Happy birthdaCome see my week here. Happy reading!y! I enjoyed the Harry Potter books but it’s been a while since I read them.
I reread the Harry Potter series almost every year, it is one way to re-live my childhood.
Happy Birthday, Whitney! You are younger than me 😉 So you’re still young 😀
I hope this week will be less exhausting than last, and that you’ll get some fun reading in.
Thanks Lexie. Other than my boyfriend reminding me I’m an extra day older then him this year, I don’t think age matters much anymore. I hope to get some reading in this week too and finishing my Harry Potter reread.
Congratulations on becoming self-hosted! I want to do that eventually too, but not yet. And I hope you’re having fun with Harry Potter, whether it’s a reread or not 😀
Thank you Anette, I was in the “not yet” phase for about a year so I completely understand. I always have fun with Harry Potter no matter how many times I reread the series.
